The King County Prosecutor's office shared on Tuesday that the first appearance hearing for Brent Dale Comer, the man arrested Sunday in the hit-and-run investigation that injured a man in West Seattle.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office asked a judge to find probable cause for felony hit and run (injury), failure to obey an officer and heroin possession. A judge found probable cause for those offenses.
Bail was not addressed because Mr. Comer did not come to court. Bail is expected to be addressed tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in King County Jail Courtroom No. 1.
The actual charging documents are expected later this week from Seattle police.
The last case involving Mr. Comer that was referred to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office was a 2018 Redmond theft and assault investigation that was referred to them in 2019 and charged. (Case No. 19-1-03844-2.) That case is ongoing.
