The Art of Music returns to West Seattle as part of the West Seattle Artwalk Sept. 9
By John Redenbaugh
Back in 2019 I oversaw the inaugural production of The Art of Music — a series of musical performances presented for the West Seattle Junction Association scheduled to complement Second Thursday Art Walk Evenings. The performances went on hiatus during 2020 but The Art of Music is returning to bring music to West Seattle during September through December this year. More details about The Art of Music 2021 can be found on the following page: https://wsartwalk.org/2021/07/27/art-of-music-2021/ .
A crowdfunding campaign has been established to help cover expenses; if you are willing help with a donation please head to: https://charity.gofundme.com/.../cam.../supporting-musicians. Thank you for your consideration.
We will present our first 2021 performances (which run from 6 to 7:40 pm with a 10-minute break) on September 9; here are the locations and performers:
The KeyBank location in the West Seattle Junction will feature Award-winning bassist and jazz vocalist Marina Christopher; see: https://www.marinachristopher.com.
The Welcome Road Winery location in West Seattle will feature classical and contemporary pedal harp performer Alyvia Miller.
If you live in or near West Seattle, I hope you will consider attending one or more of of the 2021 Art of Music events (September 9, October 14, November 11, December 9).
(And if you know any musicians who might be interested in applying to perform at a future Art of Music event you can let them know they can find further information and apply for consideration at: https://wsjunction.wufoo.com/forms/m1eu3bgr08nu6tu/ . )
