Caviezel wins Patriot Award

Kennedy graduate Jim Caviezel was one of the winners at this year's Lee Greenwood Patriot Award Dinner held Monday, Sept. 13 in Houston, Texas to benefit Wounded Warriors.

Caviezel was a one time star for the Lancers boys basketball team who is now a respected actor.

He is best known for his portrayal of Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ" movie.  He is picking up the role again in an upcoming sequel,  "The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection."

Lancer grads play in Pac-12

Kennedy Catholic graduated star quarterback Sam Huard and his former wide receivers are sprinkled throughout the Pac-12 this year as freshmen.

Huard and pass catcher Jabez Tinae are at the University of Washington, while Reed Schumpert is at Washington State University.

Junior Alexander found his way to Arizona State University.

Huard and Tinae join fellow Kennedy Catholic graduate Sav'ell Smalls at the UW.  Smalls is a sophomore linebacker for the Huskies.

Kelemete back with Texans

Evergreen graduate Senio Kelemete returns to help pave the way for the Houston Texans' offense in the National Football League.

Kelemete is a former UW standout who plays guard.
