A Land Use application has been filed with the City of Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections to allow 3, 4-story apartment buildings (34 units total) to be built at 6314 41st Ave SW . Parking for 14 vehicles is proposed. The existing buildings would be demolished. Early Design Guidance is conducted under 3036511-EG.
From the design proposal in 2020 (since revised):
"The proposed development is a multi-family residential project containing a mix of dwelling types including efficiencies, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom units. The project incorporates both private and shared exterior amenity spaces for residents.
The preferred option would include 36 units. (now 34)
15 surface parking stalls (now 14) will be provided along a public alley behind the building. Trash and recycling storage is also located along the alley. 36 bicycle long-term parking spaces will be provided for residents.
Project Objectives:
Contextually appropriate densification that responds to the scale of surrounding neighborhoods and streets.
Provide a diversity of unit types and sizes to appeal to a variety of residents at different price points.
Provide ample outdoor amenity space for residents that responds to and takes advantage of the site context and views.
