Girls basketball
West Seattle finds itself two wins away from the Tacoma Dome entering state regional action.
The No. 15-rated Wildcats start off by hosting No. 18 Liberty in a 7 p.m. Tuesday loser-out game.
A win would advance them into a second loser-out game at 8 p.m. Friday at Puyallup High School against No. 10 Auburn.
Friday's winner goes on to state top 12 Class 3A action at the Tacoma Dome starting next Wednesday with yet another loser-out game.
Gymnastics
Sammamish High School is hosting State action for all classifications this weekend.
The Class 1A/2A/3A team and individual competitions take place in a noon session Friday with the 4A action scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Pros
Kraken
Seattle entertains the New York Islanders at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Climate Pledge Arena and the Boston Bruins skate in for 7 p.m. Thursday National Hockey League action.
The Kraken go to San Jose to play the Earthquakes at the same time Sunday.
Thursday and Sunday's games will be televised on ROOT Sports Northwest and Tuesday's will be shown on ESPN+ and Hulu.
Sounders
Ballard graduate Handwalla Bwana and the Nashville contingent will provide the competition as Seattle hosts its Major League Soccer season opener Sunday.
Fox 13+ will televise the 5 p.m. match live.
Seawolves
Seattle's Major League Rugby squad hosts Austin for 5 p.m. Saturday action at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila.
ROOT will carry the action live.
Thunderbirds
Seattle visits Spokane for a 7:05 p.m. Saturday Western Hockey League clash before going to Everett at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.
Stars
Tacoma visits the Chihuahua Savage at 6 p.m. Thursday and 3:05 p.m. Saturday for indoor soccer matches.
Colleges
Husky vs. Cougar men's basketball
Washington goes to Pullman to play Washington State University at 8 p.m. Wednesday on ESPNU.
The Huskies turn around to host the Cougars at 3 p.m. Saturday on the Pac-12 network.
Washington hosts UCLA at 8 p.m. Monday on ESPN2 as WSU visits Oregon State on ESPNU.
Husky women's basketball
Washington goes to the Bay Area for two games this week, visiting California at 7 p.m. Thursday in Berkeley and Stanford at noon Saturday in Palo Alto.
Pac-12WA will carry both games live.
Cougar women's basketball
Washington State University goes to Stanford at 8 p.m. Thursday on the Pac-12 network and to California at noon Saturday on Pac-12BAY.
Bulldog men's basketball
Gonzaga University visits San Francisco at 6 p.m. Thursday and Saint Mary's at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Thursday's game can be seen on ESPN2.
Bulldog women's basketball
Gonzaga entertains Pepperdine for a 6 p.m. Thursday game in Spokane and hosts Loyola Marymount at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Redhawk men's basketball
Seattle University visits Utah Valley at 5 p.m. Thursday and goes to Dixie State Saturday at 6 p.m. with both games on ESPN+.
Redhawk women's` basketball
Seattle hosts Utah Valley at 6 p.m. Thursday and Dixie State at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Falcon men's basketball
Seattle Pacific University visits Northwest Nazarene for a 6:30 p.m. Thursday game and stops in Ellensburg to play Central Washington at 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
Falcon women's basketball
The Falcons drop in on Northwest Nazarene at 4:15 p.m. Thursday and on Central Washington at 4 p.m. Saturday.
