#2022-211015/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 08-11-2022 at 8:08am, a suspect, who is a prolific shoplifter, walked inside the Walgreens located at the 6300 BLK of 35 Ave SW. The suspect grabbed approximately $50.00 worth of beer and walked towards the exit doors.
The victims told the suspect that he had to pay for the beer.
The suspect started cursing at the victims and swung a bottle in the direction of the victims. The suspect exited the store with beer.
Later in the morning, an SPD officer who was the primary officer on the robbery, was flagged down by security at Westwood Village located at the 2500 BLK of SW Barton St concerning a felony theft from the Marshalls Store.
The officer recognized the suspect from the earlier robbery and placed him in custody for both crimes. The suspect was booked for Robbery and Felony Theft (case# 22-211123). The SPD Robbery Unit was notified.
