Salty's on Alki, the largest restaurant in West Seattle, was impacted by the pandemic like all business but they managed to find innovative ways to stay functioning and use the time to make positive changes. But two of the casualties from that time were both lunch, shut down for one year, and their deservedly famous buffet style brunch. Now lunch is back.
General Manager Chris Darst said that their expansive brunch too will return in the near future with some changes but those are still being determined. They have been serving plated style breakfast on weekends with everything from cinnamon rolls to steak and eggs from 10am to 2pm for the last few months.
For now lunch will be served Tuesday through Friday from 11:30am to 3pm. Many of the same items on the dinner menu will be available for lunch but expect to see Crispy Cod Tacos, Uncle Gerry's Tuna Melt, a burger they call the Salty's Half Pounder, and a Steak Sandwich. Also featured at lunch are the Garlic Chili Prawns.
