The Wildcats claimed third place in the Metro League Championship Tournament with Thursday's victory over Seattle Prep in the Ballard gymnasium.
West Seattle gets a first round bye in the Sea-King District tournament, opening with a 3:30 p.m. Tuesday game at Bellevue College.
Roosevelt 49, Ballard 33
Ballard finished as the Metro League's No. 8 seed with Thursday's loss to the Roughriders in the seventh place game played at Franklin.
The Beavers open Sea-King play with a 7 p.m. Saturday game at Seattle Prep.
It will be loser-out.
Lindbergh 35, Highline 33
Highline 's season ended with Thursday's narrow loss to Lindbergh at Renton.
Boys basketball
Highline 57, Lindbergh 45
Highline advances to District 1/2 tournament play, opening Wednesday at a time and place to be announced.
Thursday's victory gave the Pirates the Kingco 2A tournament's No. 4 berth.
Seattle Prep 68, West Seattle 66
West Seattle was edged by Seattle Prep in Thursday's game for the Metro League's No. 5 and No. 6 district berths in a game played at Chief Sealth.
The Wildcats host Mercer Island at 7 p.m. Saturday in a loser-out Sea-King opener.
