June 17 saw them firing up their pizza oven, built in 2013, to cook bagels and pizza for a fundraiser to help maintain the space and get one corner of the garden made over.
One of the original P-Patchers, Kate Farley was on hand as were Chris Luthie and resident poet Kieth Brewer, who shared some of his haiku's and limericks.
Farley noted that there is a concern there about the exception tree, a five trunk Birch tree that is no showing signs of a Birch Borer infestation. "We've been told we must use an arborist from the city but they are all too busy and the tree looks to be in serious trouble, so we are hoping we can get some attention and help the tree."
