WHO:
-
Dr. Brent Jones, Superintendent
-
Bev Redmond, Chief of Staff
-
Dr. Art Jarvis, Deputy Superintendent of Academics
-
Dr. Rocky Torres, Associate Superintendent of Student and School Support
-

WHAT:
Five community meetings across the district and one virtual community meeting to connect with the SPS community to envision what it means to have a well-resourced school.
During the meetings, senior leaders will share a presentation, respond to questions, and facilitate group discussion. The results will help guide future district planning.
SPS is working toward a goal of safe, equitable, and well-resourced schools that offer students the support, programs and resources, and the inspiration they need to succeed.
SPS well-resourced school conversations will be guided by Board Policy 0010, Instructional Philosophy and Board Policy 0030, Ensuring Educational and Racial Equity. These policies demonstrate the Seattle Public Schools commitment that students will be supported and affirmed in their learning, with multiple pathways to success, in school environments where they feel seen, heard, and welcomed in all spaces.
