The iconic Husky Deli, operating in the heart of the West Seattle Junction at 4721 California Ave SW since 1932 doesn't change things frequently.
When you have a winning formula for more than nine decades why change?
But the owner of Husky, Jack Miller, kept hearing that people were looking for ice cream in the evening.
The Husky Deli store closes at 7pm but now a new ice cream only window will stay open from 7pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
"It was a natural evolution and people who are looking for treat can swing by and get it," Miller said.
Husky makes all its own ice cream in house and features a huge range of flavors.
