Seattle police have arrested a 29-year-old man who broke into a home in West Seattle on March 10.
Officers were called to the scene in the 3600 block of 48th Avenue Southwest at about 6:48 a.m. They arrived to find a large window broken at the home and one of the homeowners holding down the suspect with the help of a neighbor.
A man who lives in the home reported to Seattle police that he heard glass breaking downstairs and saw a man he did not know in his home. Investigators found an object had been used to break in through a window.
When confronted, the suspect fought with the man who lived in the home and was forced outside. Then, the man told police the suspect came back inside. The man’s spouse fought with the suspect using a frying pan to get him to leave, only to have the suspect return for a third time.
It was reported that the suspect then went to the second floor of the home before he was finally restrained by the homeowner and a neighbor until Seattle police arrived.
The suspect was arrested, medically evaluated at Harborview Medical Center and booked into the King County Jail for burglary.
