The eleventh ranked Washington Huskies are hosting the Alki Beach Invitational volley ball tournament on Friday April 12 and Sat. the 13th.
They've been on a winning streak with the highest ranking in program history. The American Volleyball Coaches Association poll put them at number 11nationally after a series of victories against multiple ranked opponents last weekend. Zoey Henson and Lauren Wilcock were named National and Pac-12 Pair of the week in the wake of that performance.
The Huskies will face Oregon at 10:00 a.m., Boise State at 12:30 p.m., and No. 15 Georgia State at 4:15 p.m.
The invitational is a Round Robin-style tournament where every team plays each other once. The teams will then be seeded for the semifinals and finals, based on the results from the previous day.
A ceremony will be held after the 1:45 p.m. dual match on Saturday to honor the careers of Piper Monk-Herich, Maia Nichols, Shannon Gormally and Scarlett Dahl contributors to last year's season and the records broken this year.
