Baseball

Ballard drew Edmonds-Woodway as its state regional opponent for Saturday, while West Seattle drew the same school for a location.

The Beavers are set to play Edmonds-Woodway in a 10 a.m. loser-out game at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue.

West Seattle travels to the Edmonds-Woodway field to take on Peninsula of Purdy at 1 p.m. in the same must win situation.

Both teams would have to win a second game at 4 p.m. to advance to the state semifinals next week.

Boys soccer

Ballard travels to Silverdale to take on Central Kitsap In a 7 p.m. Friday state Class 3A quarterfinal.

The semifinals will be next Friday for the winner.

Softball

Three local teams enter district tournament play Friday.

Kennedy Catholic plays Emerald Ridge in a 10 a.m. opener at the Kent Service Club with a second game at 12:30 p.m. win or lose.

Evergreen also plays at 10 a.m. only at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey against Bremerton.  The winner gets to play a second loser-out game at 2 p.m.

Highline opens at 12 p.m. at the same complex, battling Port Angeles.

The winner goes to a 4 p.m. game and the loser gets dumped into a 2 p.m. loser-out game.

Ballard is farther along in its spread out Class 3A District tournament, meeting Garfield for 4 p.m. action at Juanita High School in Kirkland.

Mariners

First place Seattle plays in Baltimore against the Orioles at 4:05 p.m. Friday, 1:05 p.m. Saturday and 10:35 a.m. Sunday.

The Mariners go on to New York to take on the Yankees at 4:05 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of a 9:35 a.m. Thursday get away game.

ROOT Sports Northwest will televise the games.

Sounders

Seattle hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps for 7:30 p.m. Saturday action at Lumen Field before taking on Phoenix at the same time Wednesday at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila.

Saturday's action can be seen on Apple TV+.

Storm

Seattle breezes into Minnesota for 6:30 p.m. Friday action before going to Washington at noon Sunday and to New York at 4 p.m. Monday.

The Storm comes home to Climate Pledge Arena to play Indiana at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Sunday and Wednesday's games are on Fox13+ with Friday's on ION and Monday's on Channel 13.

Seattle entertains Orlando at 3 p.m. Sunday on KONG.

Seattle visits Dallas for 4 p.m. Sunday rugby action on ROOT.
