Last February it appeared that the much loved Mission Cantina was gone. But it has proven to be not just resilient but buoyed by new energy and new focus. It will reopen to the public on May 28 and WestsideSeattle will offer a preview later this week.
They shared the news in a press release here:
Mission Cantina, the cherished Mexican restaurant nestled in the heart of West Seattle’s Admiral District, is thrilled to announce its grand re-opening on Tuesday, May 28th. Operating hours will be Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 pm - Midnight, and Friday and Saturday, 4:00 pm - 1:00 am.
After three months of anticipation, Mission Cantina is excited to welcome back its loyal patrons and the vibrant community it has been a part of for nearly 20 years. More than just a dining establishment, Mission Cantina holds a special place in the hearts of local residents - a hub for treasured memories that have woven themselves into the West Seattle community.
“At Mission Cantina, our mission is our essence, and we’ve worked tirelessly to preserve what makes us unique,” says General Manager Cley Herrera Johnson. “Collaborating with our dedicated cook of over a decade, Beto Candejas, we’ve refined our menu to spotlight the signature dishes our customers love.”
