While local streams like Longfellow Creek in West Seattle and the Duwamish River are less likely to flood in a serious way, outlying rivers and streams are worth keeping an eye on in the wake of a Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service beginning Sunday. Heavy rains are set to start Sunday night.
Information from National Weather Service
Two atmospheric rivers are expected to arrive Sunday through Tuesday. Heavy rain is expected Sunday night into Monday morning with additional rainfall through Tuesday. Snow levels will be high. This combination could push rivers in the watch area close to flood stage beginning Monday.
