West Seattle won in wild fashion to wrest away the District 7 age 10-12 Major Little League baseball all-star tournament championship.
After battling back from the loser's bracket, the Westsiders had to beat South Highline National twice in championship play.
West Seattle came from behind to beat National, 6-5, in walk off fashion in Wednesday's provisional championship to force the if necessary game Thursday.
West Seattle won that game, 6-2, to claim the title and the state tournament berth that goes with it.
The Westsiders, who played the District 7 tournament on their home turf at the Bar-S complex, will go on the road to Aberdeen for state.
West Seattle will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 13 against the District 1 champions.
The winner plays the District 3 champion at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 14.
At stake in the state tournament is a trip to San Bernardino, Calif. for Western Regional action. The regional champion advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
West Seattle opened District 7 play with an 8-1 win over Rainier District this past Saturday, but was beaten, 4-1, by South Highline National in Monday's winner's bracket final.
West Seattle came back to defeat Rainier District, 8-4, in Tuesday's loser's bracket final to reach championship action Wednesday.
National of Normandy Park seemed on the cusp of taking the title, leading by a 5-2 score going into the sixth and final inning.
But West Seattle rallied to win in a walk off and followed that up with a win Thursday.
