After getting the route approval recommendation from the System Expansion Committee, the Sound Transit Executive Board will take up the final approval to move ahead with the project on Oct. 24.The meeting is public and online.
Resolution No. R2024-22: Selecting the route, profile, and stations to be built for the West Seattle Link Extension project is likely to come up later in an extended duration meeting scheduled to last four hours from 1:30 pm to 5pm.
Costs for the project are currently projected to exceed $7.1 billion and likely due to increase given inflation and cost overruns which are common.
