Kennedy Catholic opens state Class 4A action with a 7 p.m. Friday home game against Richland at Highline Memorial.

Volleyball

Chief Sealth travels to the Yakima Valley Sundome for state Class 2A tournament play this weekend, starting with a 9 a.m. Saturday match against Tumwater.

Kennedy Catholic and Mount Rainier are both playing in the West Central District Class 4A tournament that starts Friday.

The Lancers play Spanaway Lake in a 3 p.m. match at Curtis High School and the Rams meet Graham-Kapowsin at 4:45 p.m. at Curtis Junior High.

Washington is scheduled for a 6 p.m. Friday home game against UCLA on Channel 13.

Washington State visits New Mexico at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on FS1.

Husky men's basketball

The UW hosts UM Lowell at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with the Big Ten network carrying the action.

WSU plays Iowa in Moline, Ill. at 5:30 p.m.  Friday on Big Ten+.

Washington visits Montana in Missoula at 1 p.m. Sunday before entertaining CSUF at noon next Thursday.
