An 85-year-old Kirkland woman is safe after driving her Toyota off a garage roof in West Seattle early this morning.
Officers responded to the 10800 block of Arroyo Beach Place Southwest just before 4:30 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle collision. It appears the woman mistakenly accelerated forward from her parking stall, causing the vehicle to go over a ledge. The vehicle landed on top of an unoccupied parked car.
The collision left the woman trapped in her sedan. The Seattle Fire Department responded to the scene and managed to help free the woman from the vehicle.
The woman, who was not injured, was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
