Kenyon Hall will host three events in December: a student performance, a cabaret show, and a live radio play. Here is a brief synopsis of each:
Kenyon Hall Music School
●Date and Time: Thursday, December 5, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm.
●Description: This event is a celebration of Kenyon Hall's music students and their accomplishments. It is free and open to all ages. The event will feature a special performance by Smokey Brights.
Kenyon Hall Cabaret
●Date and Time: Saturday, December 7, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm.
●Description: This cabaret is a night of dance, song, and games, with opportunities to connect with the community. The show aims to bring the drag experience to the Kenyon Hall neighborhood and introduce attendees to local drag artists.
●Ticket prices: $30 VIP table seating, $20 general admission, and $10 for seniors and students.
"A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play"
●Dates and Times:
○Friday, December 13, 2024 (evening show). Doors open at 7:00 pm. Show starts at 7:30 pm.
○Saturday, December 14, 2024 (two showings). Matinee: doors open at 2:00 pm, show starts at 2:30 pm. Evening show: doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm.
○Sunday, December 15, 2024 (matinee). Doors open at 2:00 pm. Show starts at 2:30 pm.
●Description: Kenyon Hall's annual holiday radio play features a retelling of the classic "A Christmas Carol" presented as a live 1940s radio broadcast.
●Other features: The play includes a cast of radio players and Foley (sound effects) actors, a 1929 Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, and the Fabulous Mistletones singing traditional carols before the show. An original short featuring Dick Doubleheart and the Kenyon Hall Mystery Playhouse, written by John Ruoff, will begin the program.
●Ticket prices: $20 general admission and $15 for seniors and students.
