At 7:53pm, Wednesday night two suspects walked inside the Safeway located at the 2600 BLK of California Ave SW.

The two suspects walked to the meat section and grabbed about $200 worth of meats.

The suspects walked towards the exit door. A loss prevention officer identified himself and told the suspects to stop.

The suspects charged the LP and additional LPs assisted.

After a struggle, The LPs were able to detain one of the suspects. The second suspect left on foot and returned to fight the LPs and get them to release the first suspect.

During the fight the suspects chocked and struck one of the LPs in the head. The suspects got inside a blue vehicle and while fleeing the scene struck another vehicle.

Video footage was reviewed, and an ID that possibly belongs to one of the suspects was recovered from the scene.
