Jason Russell Foster is wanted by Des Moines Police. If seen do not approach. Call 911 immediately.
The Des Moines Police Department has established probable cause for the arrest of Jason Russell Foster on multiple counts of felony assault following a violent attack this morning.
On February 28, 2025, at approximately 6:47 a.m., Des Moines police responded to a 911 call reporting that a male, later identified as Jason Foster, had entered a home and pistol-whipped two adults. Two children were inside the home at the time of the incident but were not harmed.
One victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The victims reported they had hired Foster for construction work at the home, and the attack was random and unprovoked.
Law enforcement agencies, including Tukwila Police, Kent Police, and the King County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an extensive search using a K9 unit, drone, and helicopter, but Foster was not located.
Foster is described as:
- 51 years old
- 6’1” tall, 225 lbs.
- Blue eyes, shaved head
Detectives believe Foster may still be in the Des Moines area, but his last known address was in Renton. Currently, no known vehicles are associated with him.
The Des Moines Police Department urges the public to remain vigilant. Detectives consider Foster armed and dangerous, so if you see Foster, do not approach him, call 911 immediately.
