There was also strong support to clean, maintain and improve the area.</p> <p>This Saturday, Aug. 22, Scrivner’s committee, now named “Friends of Troll Knoll," the Fremont Neighborhood Service center and the city of Seattle will be providing gloves, tools, rakes, bags and more to clean up both sides of the Troll site on North 36th Street. </p> <p>Scrivner said they will be removing trash, clearing out undergrowth and dead wood and as well as doing a general clean-up around the Troll. </p> <p>Friends of Troll Knoll will also have on display, preliminary sketches of plans for the space along with the result of the online survey that was given gather public opinion as to what they would like the park to be named.</p> <p>The clean up will begin at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Troll site.</p> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-related-links field--type-link field--label-above"> <div class="field--label">Related Links</div> <div class="field--items"> <div class="field--item"><a href="http://www.seattle.gov/mayor/issues/cleanGreen/pdf/FremontAreaCG2009Flyer.pdf">Clean and Green in Fremont</a></div> </div> </div> <div class="field field--name-issue field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--items"> <div class="field--item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/1902" hreflang="en">Fremont Troll</a></div> <div class="field--item"><a href="/category/neighborhood/duwamish" hreflang="en">Clean and Green</a></div> <div class="field--item"><a href="/category/issue/duwamish-tribe-gala-dinner-and-art-auction" hreflang="en">Fremont Neighborhood Service Center</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-neighborhood field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--items"> <div class="field--item"><a href="/category/category/opinion" hreflang="en">Fremont</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-topic field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--items"> <div class="field--item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/131" hreflang="en">Neighborhood Groups</a></div> <div class="field--item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/145" hreflang="en">Environment</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-paper field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--items"> <div class="field--item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/2" hreflang="en">Robinson Papers</a></div> </div> Wed, 19 Aug 2009 19:58:24 +0000 Guest 20669 at https://www.westsideseattle.com
