On September 12 at the 8700 block of Mary Avenue Northwest Seattle Police responded to a burglary at a residence. The complainant told officers that after leaving his home for a few days he returned to find his front door doorknob loose, however the door was still locked. He noticed that there was grass and dirt on his carpet and told officers that he does not leave his home in that condition. His Playstation3 was taken along with the controller and a few games. He said the estimated loss was $500. A neighbor told officers that a black man in his 20’s was observed near the residence and walked away when the neighbor approached her unit. She said that the suspect had been seen before and used to visit a female tenant that used to live at the location. Officers checked for latent prints, but were unable to recover any. Officers speculate the suspect has a key to the unit.

Suspect Ultra Violence moves through home, takes nothing...scares motorists

On September 12 officers responded to a burglary at a residence located on the 7300 block of 10th Avenue Northwest. Dispatchers told officers that a suspect was seen leaving the residence with a flashlight. When officers arrived the complainant told them that when she arrived home she saw a heavy-set thing with a glowing light thrashing in her house. She heard a loud crash and saw the monster flee through the back yard leaving a trail of mayhem. Officers checked the yard and did not find IT. The complainant told officers that she did not notice anything taken after the rampage. Officers observed that two bedrooms and the kitchen had been rifled through. Plates and cups were shattered and the table was thrown. There was a sulfur stink in the air. The back door doorframe had been blasted through and the drywall around it was caved in and cracked. Officers suspect that the door had been kicked in or charged through by pure unadulterated brute force straight from Dante's seventh circle (outer). Suspect Ultra Violence had moved through the scene like a potato sack full of bricks tied to the tail of a raging Moloch. Offers were unable to recover any human fingerprints.

When groceries go bad: Thief makes off with computer while victim buys organic, grass-fed pop-tarts

On September 14 at the 6300 block of 24th Avenue Northwest officers responded to a burglary at an apartment building. The complainant told officers that he left to go grocery shopping at QFC down the street. When he returned home his door was left open. He found that his apartment was a mess and his laptop was missing. Officers left a business card with the complainant. Officers have have no leads.

Cig-pigs make off with bins and bins; smoke-gluttons leave evidence

On September 14 a burglary was reported at a business on the 2800 block of Northwest Market Street. The complainant showed officers surveillance footage of the incident. Two suspect wearing hoodies and carrying plastic garbage bins pry open the main door of the business using a heavy metal pry bar. Once inside they remove the lids of the cans and rush behind the counter, grabbing as many cigarettes and miscellaneous items as they can. One suspect has a hard time keeping his hood on and his face is revealed as the two flee the scene. Officers observed that the garbage bin lids had numbers on them associated with home addresses on that block. They noticed that the corresponding townhome down the street was missing its bins. They also noticed that security cameras from neighboring businesses were directed down the street. Officers are contacting business owners for leads.
