The Northwest Paddling Festival, taking place June 25 at Jack Block Park has released the map for the events set to happen at the event.

As the West Seattle Herald reported first, the beach in the park, which has been closed to the public since the park was built, will open to the public for the first time for the festival.
The map details the three locations where the festival will stage events; In the park itself with a Demo beach, a vending promenade featuring dozens of paddling and kayak vendors and more, speaker tents. and event, information and a 1st Aid-Volunteer tent. Klickitat Cove which which will be used as an instruction beach at 1910 Harbor Ave. s.w. This is also the site where the Alki Paddling Challenge Race will begin at 12:30 pm (12:00 sign in and registration), and Alki Kayak Tours at 1880 Harbor Ave. s.w. where Sea Kayaker Magazine is sponsoring their Reader's Choice Awards Party at 8:00 pm with drink specials provided by Alki Crab and Fish.
Jack Block Park is located at 2130 Harbor Avenue and features 15 acres of space with walking paths, a walking pier, a 45 foot high Observation Tower, a children's play area, a view of Terminal 5 operations, the Seattle skyline, and Mt. Rainier (when the weather is good). The park has Benches, a restroom and parking and is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

5:00 Registration booth closes, On Water Instruction Completed
6:00 Festival ends, head on up to Alki Crab and Fish/Alki Kayak Tours for the After Party featuring Fever, offering Classic 50s and 60′s Rock and Roll (and Elvis too). Paddle over and watch em from the water! Festival Participants will have drink specials available, keep your wrist band on. Picnicking area surrounding venue if desired.
8:00 Sea Kayaker Readers Choice Awards at After Party (Alki Crab and Fish/Alki Kayak Tours).
8:30 Sunset Tour departs from Alki Kayak Tours. Contact Alki Kayak Tours to join, must sign waiver, independent event.
11:00 Alki Crab and Fish and Alki Kayak Tours close – you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here. Head to Alki Tavern if your still feeling festive. Must have all inline skates returned to Alki Kayak Tours by now!
