Her day started out by getting a briefing by one of the flight mechanics overseeing on what to do when the jet does highly extreme maneuvers, especially when pulling positive G-force. Once the briefing was over she zipped up her jumpsuit and climbed aboard.
In the air, the pilot took her 75 miles to the West to an undisclosed military airspace where he performed some of the tricks that they do in the air show.
Finally, on the ground again she told the West Seattle Herald her experience. Lyman said "It was just like during the briefing, you have to do the Hick procedure too keep the blood flowing and the g-force was a little bit hectic, pulling 7.4 g's. It's like going to the gym for 2 hours. The main thing when you up there is to keep breathing normally. I reached a maximum altitude of 17,000 feet. My favorite part was flying over Camp Parsons, which is my where my son's Boy Scouts troop was. My students were really excited for me going and they had a whole list of questions to ask, but I got nauseous so I couldn't answer them all.”
