The weekend closure is part of a larger project to replace the south end of the Alaskan Way Viaduct with a side-by-side elevated highway.
Downtown Seattle events:
Seattle Hempfest on Friday, Aug. 19 through Sunday, Aug. 21. The event will be hosted at three locations: Centennial Park, Myrtle Edwards Park and Olympic Sculpture Park. Times vary.
