The Summer Concert at Hiawatha for Thursday Sep. 1 features rising musical act Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs, who appeared in West Seattle at Easy Street Records on July 11 with her record release party.
Anna, who is from Ellensburg has been praised by musicians such as Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Duff McKagan of Guns and Roses, Velvet Revolver and his own band Loaded.
McCready said, "Star Anna is an American original. I am a huge fan of her music and especially her voice. She sings from a place of beauty that takes me to a higher place. Her CD's rarely leave my player."

McKagan said, "She is the real deal. We can all say that we saw her when . . . . Guaranteed."
