Windermere Real Estate is now in the process of moving 30 brokers from their Fauntleroy office to their West Seattle Junction office. The move is underway, if a bit slowly, but should be completed soon according to the company.
Windermere Vice-President and Co-Owner Janet Haberbush said," The lease at our Fauntleroy location was coming up for expiration soon, which was the catalyst to have us look at our offices and really come to the conclusion that it would be a positive move to bring our brokers together. In the the Northwest Multiple Listing Association which we're a member of, the number of agents working as realtors has declined some 30% since the boom years. We've seen similar changes in the number of agents and brokers that work for us. Our offices are less than two miles apart, both on California Avenue, so we felt it would be a perfect opportunity to merge the two branches, bringing together the top talent in West Seattle together for the first time, making it the number one market leader in West Seattle. It will allow us to consolidate administration and operation so we can provide great service to our brokers and for them to provide great service to our clients, which is what's most important really."
The company has 60 active brokers in West Seattle and all of them will fit into the Junction space because "we added space in the boom years, when we had more people. It was well suited to bring the two groups together."
We feel it's a great opportunity to bring our team together, many of whom have worked together for many years and are colleagues and when you have change it gives you an opportunity for growth and we're excited."
Windermere has been busy in the community for years of course but last Friday they worked together as a team to build a park in one day. You can see their photos on their Facebook page here.
