Mt. Rainier 114, Hazen 72
The Mount Rainier girls swimming team raised its overall record to 8-1 with last Tuesday's win over the Highlanders.
The foursome of Kawaguchi, Webster, Larson and Dorhofer combined to win the opening 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1 minute, 55.88 seconds and Kawaguchi came back to take the 200 individual medley in a state-qualifying time of 2:12.51.
Larson tied for first in the 50 free in 25.52 and Beal won the 100 butterfly in 1:04.03 and Lemley took the 500 free in 5:53.11. Larson, Webster, Ward and Kawaguchi took the 200 free relay in a state-qualifying time of 1:43.71 and Webster took the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.73. Larson, Lemley, Beal and Kawaguchi won the final 400 free relay in a state-qualifying time of 3:45.65.
Kennedy 116, Highline 41
Highline 102, Foster 13
Highline took a 116-41 loss to Kennedy on Tuesday, Oct. 18 but won compared to Foster, 102-13.
Kennedy won the 200 medley relay in 2:14.97 with Natalie Mutter, Michelle Callson, Destiny Barber and Theresa Cunningham making up the squad, then Makenna Schilling continued the ultimate Lancers sweep by winning the 200 free in 2:24.12.
Shaelanna White won the 200 IM in 2:40.40 and Vanessa Moffatt captured first in the 50 free in 26.60. Abby Fenster took the 100 butterfly in 1:16.22 and White won th 100 free in 1:07.34. Anna Luksetich won the 500 free in 5:51.03 and the Kennedy Catholic team of Moffatt, Audrey Griggs, White and Luksetich won the 200 free relay in 1:52.32.
Haley Kormanik won the 100 backstroke for the Lancers in 1:12.15 and Moffatt took the 100 breaststroke in 1:18.59.
Luksetich, White, Moffatt and Griggs won the 400 free relay in 4:11.03.

Tahoma 3, Mt. Rainier 0
Mount Rainier went down to a 25-8, 26-24, 25-12 defeat at the hands of the Tahoma Bears this past Thursday.
Amanda Goucher had four aces, three digs and two kills for the Rams, while Gabby Christopher scored three kills and Mykaela Klingler had one ace, two blocks and six kills. Megan Dayley had one ace, seven digs, seven assists and one kill and Jenna Nye had two kills and four assists.
Rachael Monahan finished with seven digs and Jackie Agusto had five digs.

Metro League meet
Chief Sealth took seventh in the girls portion of last Thursday's meet with 206 points, with Kanaia Neumann leading the team with a 19:56.44 time.
On the boys side, Chief Sealth and West Seattle tied for 10th place with 315 points each.
