Colman Pool improvement project will delay opening next summer
Sun, 11/06/2011
Put this one in your future file for next summer, especially if you are a swimmer or often visit Lincoln Park.
Colman Pool will open much later than usual in 2012 due to a major construction project, that requires a bit if dryer weather and warmer temperatures to complete. The improvement and repair project will begin in winter and run until June 29. The pool will open to the public on Saturday, June 30 which is 5 weeks later than usual.
The pool traditionally opens on Memorial Day weekend.
The 70 year old deck will be replaced and the entire gutter system redesigned. In addition, in the pool itself an underwater leak will be repaired and new plaster liner installed.
