Describing themselves as artists, healers, and visionaries, the Emerald Spiral Co-Op will close its physical location at 5910 California Ave. s.w. at the end of November but will continue to sponsor Psychic Expos in the Northwest.
What Susan Harmon began as a way for area psychics and others interested in metaphysics to work together and to provide a place for them to call home, The Emerald Spiral will close at the end of November.
The business that the West Seattle Herald reported on in August of last year fell victim to the flagging economy and a changing set of members. The location at 5910 California Avenue Southwest had hosted numerous Psychic Saturdays and has been an outlet for products that for many people, hold significance such as crystals, amulets, art, numerous books and other metaphysical items. But events created by Harmon and others they called Psychic Expos will continue in Kent at the Kent Commons.
Harmon sent the following letter to those on her mailing list announcing the closure.
Hello Friends of Emerald Spiral:
We are pleased to let you know that Emerald Spiral is taking a new direction.
At the end of November, we will no longer maintain a storefront at 5910 California Ave SW.
While we are closing our physical doors, our etheric doors remain wide open.
We will continue the Emerald Spiral Expos in Kent in March and September as usual. We will maintain the Emerald Spiral website with lots of great information about events classes, services, and products. The phone number - 206-937-2275 - will be voice mail only. For anything from booth space at the expo to an appointment with one of our incredible healers, just leave your specific request with contact info and someone will contact you. Of course, email is always a viable option to communicate.
