Press release from North Delridge Neighborhood Council
The Delridge Alliance is an advisory group of Delridge Neighbors with the purpose of organizing and addressing the community concerns regarding the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) location in Delridge. In an effort to create an effective group, they are seeking additional Alliance Advocates, volunteers who can represent the views of the community. They are seeking stakeholders such as adjacent property owners, businesses and institutions to name a few.
The Alliance role will help develop a list of neighborhood concerns related to the project, and organize meetings to address them. Those interested should read the PDF attachment on the Delridge Alliance Call for Nominations post available at the NDNC.org website (also provided as a link up top).
Nominations and applications may be submitted to DelridgeAlliance@ndnc.org by January 15th. Nominations should include contact name, phone number, and email for follow up.
Additional information from NDNC
The Delridge Alliance is an advisory work group of stakeholders organized to gather input and prioritize the community’s concerns regarding the DESC Supportive Housing Project; to help the community envision our goals for the DESC space; and to actively work with key decision makers to represent the community’s needs throughout the DESC project timeline.
The Delridge Alliance consists of up to nine individuals, known as Alliance Advocates, whose goals are to represent the views of community stakeholder groups. The Advocates for these two open positions will work closely with two other Neighborhood Leadership Advocates to focus specifically on gathering, filtering, and prioritizing input from the neighborhood at large, with support from NDNC and the Delridge Community Forum.
