Featured readers include Janée J. Baugher and Danielle Jacobowitz who read for the first hour. Then open mic begins at 8:00 p.m. Open mic sign-up start at 6:45 p.m. The public is welcome to share poems and stories.

Janée J. Baugher is the author of Coördinates of Yes (Ahadada Books, 2010), a collection of ekphrastic and travel poems. Twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Baugher holds an MFA from Eastern Washington University, and in 2011 she presented her work at the Library of Congress. Collaboratively, Baugher’s poetry has been adapted for dance and set to music at University of Cincinnati, Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, and Dance Now! Ensemble in Florida. An associate editor for StringTown magazine, Baugher teaches Creative Writing and Literature at Richard Hugo House and University of Phoenix. Baugher was awarded a 2012 fellowship at The Island Institute of Sitka.
Danielle Jacobowitz has been writing poetry since she was very young, but her style did not begin to take shape until her college years. Her brisk, poignant poems have been artfully described as "a shot of blood in hot cocoa" and "akin to [the poetry Anna Akhmatova". Her poems have been published in the Seacoast Entertainer as well as The New Verse News and Quill and Parchment. Danielle teaches music in South Seattle and lives in Queen Anne.
