What’s Mine Is Yours: The Rise of Collaborative Consumption is on the reading list for the Seattle Share Fair set for Feb. 25 at the West Seattle Senior Center. The hardcopy edition is available at The Seattle Public Library and the Audiobook is available on iTunes.
As children we are taught the value of sharing. The phrase "Share and share alike" is meant to promote harmony and prevent waste. In recent years, the value of sharing, driven in part by a struggling economy but also by the desire to conserve resources and to protect the environment has seen a lot of growth. Social media has been a driving force behind public awareness of both the need and the availability of shared resources, demonstrating that they are better shared than owned.
Sustainable West Seattle is among the leaders in spreading this idea and on Feb 21 they are sponsoring the Seattle Share Fair at the West Seattle Senior Center at 4217 SW Oregon St , Seattle.
