Saejun Lee is the owner of the SeaMart located at 1513 Holden Street s.w. and it re-opened late Friday, March 30 after being closed for more than a year.

Lee comes to the business after owning a similar market downtown on South Jackson Street.

"I took some time off and I needed to get something going again so this was a good location for me," said Lee.

The store, still getting stocked, will carry typical quick market items but will offer, as the previous owners did, an array of specialty and craft beers.

Lee said that his prices will be lower than some of his competitors for the standard kinds of things markets like this carry. "We'll have a lot of specials hopefully."

He said he will have a selection of frozen pizzas, burgers, and other kinds of dinners and will carry some fresh fruit but likely only apples and bananas.

The next door neighbor, Athena's owned by Nick Parisi now under construction that the Herald told you about last week will likely present no issues with parking since both Lee and Parisi have already struck up a good relationship. Parisi has been in helping Lee get his store working, solving some minor construction issues for him. "He's been very helpful. I've got no clue on electrical things and he's been helping."

Lee expects their good relationship to continue.

Even the people from the 7-11 store across the intersection came over to say hello and wish him well Lee said.

The store is open Sunday through Thursday 7-11 and Friday and Saturday 7-12.
