The four men responsible for the 2009 murder of 26-year-old Steve Bushaw have all answered for their crime with the last of them, 33-year-old Brandon Chaney, pleading guilty to second degree manslaughter in the case, according to King County Prosecutors.

Chaney was tried on first degree murder charges along with Bryce Huber last summer, but the jury was unable to convict Chaney, the getaway driver to and from the murder outside Talarico’s in West Seattle on Feb. 1, 2009.

Chaney entered his guilty plea on May 3.

Huber was sentenced to 32 years in prison as the mastermind behind the plot to kill Bushaw and the two shooters, John Sylve, 34, and Danny O’Neal, 30, received 20 and 15 years respectively in exchange for their guilty plea and willingness to testify against Huber.

The group of four decided to shoot Bushaw because they thought he was behind the robbery of a drug dealer they associated with. Police never found any evidence Bushaw was involved in the robbery.

According to prosecutors, the sentencing range for Chaney is five to just under six years in prison. He will be sentenced on May 10 at 8:45 a.m. by Judge Joan DuBuque at the King County Courthouse.
