Athena's owner Nick Parisi shared that on Sunday May, 13 an opening celebration will take place from 4pm to 6pm. Award winning acoustic duo Correo Aereo will be playing (if it rains it will be inside), they will sell food outside, free samples of multiple flavors of gelato and balloons for kids. "We're not cutting a ribbon but it is a celebration," said Parisi. The whole Parisi family will be in attendance. Seamart the convenience store that just opened next door is also planning something special that day. "The beer will be flowing, we just got Schooner Exact on tap working," said Parisi.

After some delays, Athena's has opened at 1513 Holden Way s.w. as of 12 noon May 8. As we reported in March it's a family run business owned by Nick Parisi and his wife Phoebe.

The remodel added a third more space to the former Zippy's Burgers location and can now fit in seating for 15 to 20 people at a time.

Nick's father Al Parisi started frying calzones at Folk Life in 1980, "but this is all Nick," said Al.

Athena's operates a food truck too which has been in operation for almost a year now. That truck will still be operating at various places around Seattle.

Here's a list of what's on the menu:

• Athena Burger- Fresh ground lamb, caramelized onions, gouda cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sauce.
• Zeus Burger - Beef patty, bacon, cheddar, bacon jam, onion, tomato, lettuce, house sauce.
• Icarus Burger- Beef patty, onion, lettuce, tomato, house sauce
• Field Roast Burger - Vegetarian patty, lettuce, tomato, red onion, house sauce
• Hercules Burger - Three patties, cheddar cheese, lettuce. tomato, onion, house sauce

• Lamb Gyro - Pita, carmelized onion, tomato, lettuce, kalamata olives, feta cheese, parsley, tzatziki sauce
• Beef Gyro - Pita, carmelized onion, tomato, lettuce, kalamata olives, feta cheese, parsly, tzatziki sauce.
• Chicken Souvlaki - Pita, carmelized onion, tomato, lettuce, kalamata olives, feta cheese, parsley tzatziki sauce.
• Falafel - Pita, carmelized onion, tomato, lettuce, kalamata olives, feta cheese, parsley, tzatziki sauce.
• Field Roast - Pita, carmelized onion, tomato, lettuce, kalamata olives, feta cheese, parsely, tzatziki sauce.
