51-year-old Greggette Guy's body was found floating in the Puget Sound just south of Cormorant Park in West Seattle on March 12 (the area pictured). Her death, ruled a homicide, is still under investigation.
It has been over two months since the body of Greggette Guy was found floating in the Puget Sound near Cormorant Cove Park in West Seattle, and police are still actively investigating and listening for tips in her murder.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office cause of death in Guy’s passing is “sharp force injury of the neck and asphyxia due to drowning.” Medical examiners determined it was a homicide.
Det. Renee Witt with the Seattle Police Department said the injury to Guy’s neck could have been caused by a knife, but the implement used, or who used it, is still unknown.
Witt said there have been no new leads in the case recently, and encouraged anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.
In late April, Guy’s family put up a $10,000 reward (in addition to $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers) for tips leading to an arrest in the case.

51-year-old Guy’s body was discovered on the morning of March 12, a little over 1000 yards north of where she parked her car at Me-Kwa-Mooks Park. In an interview with Q13, Guy's widower, Dwight Guy, said his wife had driven to Beach Drive from Kent the night before to take a walk by herself during stormy weather. He said she enjoyed being near the Sound during tumultuous storms.
