The annual Fauntleroy Fall Festival took place right in the middle of the first really significant rain fall following an 81 day stretch of virtually no rain.
That didn't dampen the spirits of the hundreds who attended, as the parking lot was jammed, and people huddled under tents, used umbrellas and shuttled quickly between the four primary spaces for the event.
Centered in the parking lot of the Fauntleroy Church, YMCA & Schoolhouse and at the Hall at Fauntleroy the event at 9140 California Avenue SW was as always a mix of entertainment, food, animals, crafts and fun.
The festival featured plenty of food, a cake decoration and cakewalk, pumpkin painting, building wooden bird houses, children's crafts, a meditation labyrinth, pony rides, and the presence of a Seattle Fire truck, the Hi Yu Junior Court and more.
