The Delridge Produce Cooperative is seeking anyone with the time and inclination to join them and they move forward with their plan to create a functioning grocery store in the Delridge neighborhood.

The November meeting is set for Monday evening, Nov. 26. All interested volunteers are needed to help plan the next steps. Teresa Young, Organizational Development Specialist from the Northwest Cooperative Development Center will be on hand to discuss how the NWCDC can assist the Co-Op at this stage. They are making final edits to their business plan and reviewing the first draft of their bylaws. The meeting run from 5:30-7:30pm, at the Delridge Library.

The normal December meeting is being postponed for this month but will resume we on the 4th Monday of the month. The next meeting will be January 28th, 6:30-7:30pm at the Delridge branch of the Seattle Public Library.

Laughing Crow Farm, grower of premium, organic, specialty potatoes of many varieties and colors, has offered us some blemished but still delicious potatoes. Would you like some? Reply to this email and we'll bring you a bag of potatoes at the meeting! Donations to DPC welcome but not necessary.

Name the Co-op!!!

The Delridge Produce Cooperative idea has evolved from a plan for a co-op produce stand to a small, but full-service, community-owned multi-stakeholder grocery store! This means the store will not only be a source for healthy food, including meat, eggs, dairy and seafood but a support network and financial opportunity for large, small, and backyard farmers. The Co-op's employees will also have an equal stake in the store. Our current name is misleading for some and we have received feedback regarding a name change. We wish to make another round of reusable strawberry bags and founding member t-shirts!! So, we need to choose our name! Please help.
