West Seattle High School 'Taste of the Arts' coming up April, 5

The West Seattle High School PTSA is sponsoring their annual WSHS "Taste of the Arts" event April 5 at St. John's Chuch Hall, 3050 California Ave. SW. It's blend of visual, performing and culinary arts that offers something for everyone.
The evening starts with the ProStart culinary art students preparing and serving delicious appetizers as attendees view the visual art (Student photography, ceramics, painting, drawing, and wood shop) on display that has been judged by 4 local artists. The musicians and cast of the spring musical, "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" are present for a short time to mingle before the attendees are escorted to the high school theater for the evening's 8:00 pm performance. The orchestra and band will perform throughout the evening. Tickets are $20 (advance, $25 at the door) and include appetizers, 2 beverages and entrance to the spring musical.

Park in the main school lot. Follow the walkway to the back entrance of the church hall located on the corner of 42nd Ave. SW & SW Hanford St.
Judging the art will be:
RobRoy Chalmers:
RobRoy Chalmers is a self represented artist living in West Seattle. His career, as an artist, has spanned almost 25 years and he has shown work nationally and internationally. His work runs the gambit of materials ranging from drawing to printmaking to dance and most everything in between.
Stephanie Hargrave:
Hargrave has been showing her encaustic work since 2005 in Seattle with Patricia Rovzar Gallery. She is represented by Circa Gallery in Minneapolis and Anne Irwin Fine Art in Atlanta. She recently finished several commissions, and had a solo show this past November entitled Rubia.
Tracy Cilona:
Tracy Cilona is a long-time resident of West Seattle has has worked extensively in the arts as an educator, artist and curator. Through Tracy's work as a gallery coordinator and curator she has had the pleasure to present multiple exhibits of local and national artists at art spaces and venues in throughout Seattle. Tracy's latest venture is as co-owner of West Seattle's Twilight Gallery.
Christine Heidel:
Christine Heidel is a fine art photographer who loves film, vintage cameras and old school, alternative processing techniques. As co-owner of West Seattle's Twilight Gallery, Christine is living her dream to bring art into people's lives.
