She said, "As fundraisers go, this is an excellent one for 2 reasons especially: 1) there is the possibility of having every single dollar we raise, matched by the Eagles Grand Aerie (that's the national office), and 2) EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR goes to LOCAL organizations that are fighting cancer. No administrative costs of any kind: these are all donated by our amazing Eagle brothers and sisters, and by our local, West Seattle Aerie. this event is close to my heart also for two major reasons, the first being that my eagle family has rasied money several times for me personally, just to help me meet my bills, and the second being that april 20 is my sister's birthday, and she died at age 39 of the same cancer i am now fighting. she would have been 51 this year, R.I.P.
