Today marked the first day for Ampersand coffee on Alki which was the former location of Pioneer coffee.

Owners Marisa and Daryl Waits came in early this morning to make sure everything was all set and that everything was running smoothly. They are also the owners of the restaurant Slices on Alki. They rent both spots from property owner Tom Lin.

They offer great tasty food such as breakfast sandwich's, panini's, and other such pastries which gets prepared over in the Slices kitchen.

The hours of operation for the coffee house are Monday through Friday 6:30 am - 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. They will possibly extend there hours during the summer months and close earlier during the winter months.
