District 7 all-star tournaments set to begin

Bar-S fields located in West Seattle above Alki Point will be the site as two District 7 Little League all-star tournaments jump into full swing Saturday.
The Majors age 11-12 tournament will take place on Field 2 and the age 9-10 tournament will be hosted on Field 1.
Major all-star tournaments can eventually lead to the Little League World Series, but the initial prize to all District 7 tournament champions is a trip to state.
West Seattle opens with a first round bye in the Majors tournament, waiting until 10 a.m. Sunday to get underway. South West of White Center plays Renton at 10 a.m. Saturday for the right to face the Westsiders.
Sunday's winner goes straight to the winner's bracket final at 6 p.m. Wednesday, and Wednesday's winner advances into 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6 championship action.
Also opening tournament play this Saturday are PacWest of Burien and SeaTac against Seattle Central at 1 p.m., with South Highline National playing the Rainier District at 4 p.m.
The winners of those games play at 1 p.m. Sunday for a winner's bracket final berth.
The loser's bracket leads to a 6 p.m. Friday final against the winner's bracket final loser.
The age 9-10 all-star tournament opens with three games this coming Saturday.
South Highline American and PacWest play at 10 a.m., with Rainier District meeting Seattle Central at 1 p.m. and West Seattle taking on Renton at 4 p.m.
South Highline National gets a bye to 10 a.m. Sunday, when it plays the South Highline American vs. PacWest winner. The winners of the other two openers meet at 1 p.m. Sunday. Sunday's winners play in the 6 p.m. Wednesday winners bracket final and Wednesday's winner plays for the title at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6.
Wednesday's loser falls into the loser's bracket final at 6 p.m. Friday, with Friday's winner also reaching Saturday's championship needing to beat Wednesday's winner twice. A second game takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday if necessary.
PacWest will be the site of the Junior age 13-14 and age 10-11 tournaments starting Saturday, July 6.
West Seattle and PacWest open the age 10-11tournament at 10 a.m. that day, with the winner meeting South Highline National at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Renton plays Rainier District at 10 a.m. Saturday with the winner playing Seattle Central at 1 p.m. Sunday on an adjoining PacWest field.
The winner's bracket final is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 and the loser's bracket final is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10. Championship play starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11 with the if-necessary game scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, July 12.
In the Juniors tournament, West Seattle opens against South Highline National at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6 and PacWest plays Renton at 1 p.m. the same day.
Winners of those two games play in the winner's final at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 7. The loser's final is at 6 p.m. Monday, July 8 with the first championship at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 and the if-necessary game scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.
District 7 is hosting the state Junior softball tournament starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at the Valley Ridge fields next to Tyee High School in SeaTac.
The winner's final is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 and the loser's final at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. The first championship is at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18 and the if-necessary game at 6 p.m. Friday, July 19.
Other state baseball and softball tournaments will take place at various locations and days across the state.
