West Seattle Herald reader Cyndi wrote in on the evening of Sept. 13 to report a theft from her front porch.

"We live in S. West Seattle and shortly after a package was delivered, a guy came up on the porch and took the package. My husband went after him and tried to stop him but he jumped into a late model beat up green Cadillac.

"It's very distinctive, upon having the conversation with my husband I had seen the same car in the Roxbury Safeway parking lot.

"The trunk is held closed by a chain looped through and fastened by two padlocks. If anybody has or does see this car, if they could get the license plate number so it can be given to the police. We reported the theft."

As a humorous side note, Cyndi shared, "My husband does mobile RV repairs and the package contained a toilet seat for an RV!"

We're sure that toilet seat will come in handy.
