On Sept. 17, around 5 p.m., a female pedestrian was hit by a Federal Way woman driving along 17th Ave. S.W., resulting in serious injuries according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

KCSO said the 51-year-old transient female victim was crossing 17th mid-block (near the Bank of America) when she was struck by a 54-year-old driving southbound.

The victim was taken to Harborview with serious injuries, including several broken bones.

KCSO said the driver has been cooperative with the investigation (which is ongoing) and no arrests have been made nor charges filed at this time.
