A public meeting is set for Nov. 19 to review the designs for the new White Center Library. The meeting will be held at Mount View Elementary School from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The library is proposed to be built in a now vacant lot near the intersection of 107th S.W. and 15th S.W.
During the meeting the architectural team from NBBJ Architects will be there to update attendees on how the process is going and to answer questions.
Mount View is located at 10811 12th Ave SW in White Center.

The first meeting on the 10,000 square foot project took place in July with NBBJ Architects. At that time, residents voiced concerns about knocking down too many trees in the currently heavily forested lot and drainage concerns into the comparatively low-lying area.
NBBJ asked for feedback on orientation of the building, lighting design and features of a youth space. They said their goal was to include enough windows to allow ample natural light in.
In addition to the building, architects plan a parking lot for 40 vehicles.
Construction is not expected to being until the third quarter of 2014 and will take at least a year to build, according to NBBJ.
