Man struck and killed at 35th and S.W. Graham on Dec. 29

A 69 year old man was struck and killed in West Seattle last night on 35th Ave. S.W. near Graham Street S.W.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) detectives are conducting an investigating the accident.
On the Seattle Police Blotter they write: "At around 9:15 pm, a Ford sedan was travelling northbound on 35th Avenue SW. As the Ford entered the intersection of SW Graham Street, the Ford struck a pedestrian. The Seattle Fire Department responded and transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries a short time later."
To determine if there were signs of impairment Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer responded to the scene and evaluated the male driver of the Ford but found none.
35th Avenue SW was closed for hours as detectives conducted their investigation. The roadway is now back open. The investigation is now continuing.
